my cat lost a nail :(

she comes inside (last night) with blood on her paw and i see she lost her thumb nail  . shes limping a little. didnt eat last night. just finished giving her canned food, she ate that. im not too worried. i know to look out for an infection and that the nail will grow back. im just curious if this happened to any other cats here. did you had to take him/her to the vet? how long will the limping last?

i dont have a pic. she has to much fur on her paw to take a close look. and im too scared i would hurt her if i cut through.

I would take her to a vet if you think she actually lost her WHOLE nail. The fact that she is bleeding and limping is concerning so I think a vet visit would be best.

i made an apt for wednesday. shes not bleeding now. im a little concerned because shes not really eating and im giving her canned food, her favorite. hopefully she can wait until wednesday
