Hello from Orange County, CA

Hi everyone!

I have been reading for a long time and have decided to join this wonderful group. Last May I adopted my wonderful girl Mina. I had to but my beloved Thomas (cancer) down last April 21st, and I swore I was not ready for another cat. Before I had to put Tom down, in 2013 my lovely Princess (17 years) was sick (kidneys) and I had to put her down. I miss them both so much at times it still hurts. Mina is four and quite a character. Pic coming soon. I saw her inside a Petsmart and could not help but to fall in love with her sad face.

I am glad your heart has healed enough so you can love again.  Mina needed you!  We will look forward to seeing pictures of her.  Welcome to TCS!

That's great you found room for another kitty in your heart. I am sorry to hear about your late ones.. but I am sure Mina will be very happy with you.

Welcome to TCS. I can relate! I just lost my Angel to Lymphoma two months ago tomorrow. (He only got 1/2 way through the chemo). 

I am definitely not ready.( I just had a bad night last night w/ many tears), so I get it.  It will probably be a year or so before I am ready too. 

But I have stuck around to share any info I can, from things I have been through w/ him & also learned on the site to help anyone I can.

(& I know I will have another when I'm ready, & have made too many friends here) 

I am happy for you that you were finally ready & can't wait to see pictures of your new fur baby!   

Welcome to TCS! I hope you will find the same sense of "second home" here that I have.  I am so sorry you lost your first two kitties, but thrilled that you have rescued another and given her a loving home.  Red Top Rescue said that best!
