The don't like the pool, but the do like the 2 boxes together. They can go back and forth.
I would go with whatever stresses them the least. All those babies in a few weeks...yikes. Opt for sanity now. It's going to be short lived ;)

She's acting really tired and kinda depressed. Didn't eat well, but did eat a little.   I picked her up , and some of th edischarge got on my hand. It was less "red blod"  and more  light bloody discharge, and it didn't stink, so that's good. Maybe going to the vet freaked her out?

I would guess so. All those new babies. Still you did the right thing. Does she want cat treats. She sure seemed to like those.

I said that above - vet visit stressed her out - Post # 311. She is absolutely exhausted!!! My cat was exhausted from 4. Around 6-8 weeks, she started slinking off to my bed upstairs for a deep nap every day, leaving her kittens with me. I looked after them for her. Your cat is lucky to have her daughter helping her. She should bounce back. It's a hormonal dip. But she's worn out! Help her as much as you can!

Ok, you ladies are the best. So I shouldn't worry as long as she doesn't stink. and is getting some food in her?

As I said, you should worry if her bleeding increases. You should worry if she's not eating. You should worry if her kittens are not nursing and gaining weight. However, tonight's lethargy may just be that she's stressed and tired. No mom cat wants to be at the vet when she has kittens. And she's exhausted! All mom cats are, even without 8 babies. No different from human moms.

But if she stinks, she has infection. That's clearly a sign.

Well, she's not stinky. She's eating a little, she nursing the kittens  and she's drinking. So I'll let her rest for tonight and watch her closely.

Thank you!

Try not to worry unless you have to worry. She will likely be fine. She needs time to heal, and to settle down and rest with her babies. She really hasn't had that yet. You need to rest too! You're a wonderful foster mom! I'm sure this is stressful for you too. Thank you for all that you've done! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Goodnight from all of us....including these special Momma cats who are still helping each other out. Naomi ate some dinner, a bunch of treats had a little kmr and her bleeding has lightened up. I'll sleep tonight, too. I hope as well as them!

Naomi met me at the door this morning, meowing for food! :)  I did notice  some dried blood on the towel, but it looks dried.  All the kittens are sated, and sleeping in a big kitten pile.

I'm so thankful.

So happy that things are calming down.  I missed a couple of days, and am sitting here all teary eyed over the loss of little #9.  But it's a major miracle that eight kittens were born alive and healthy, and that mama is doing so well.  We take what we can get, and do our best with it.

Rest you gentle, Little # Nine, dream you deep.  You were noticed in this world, and not forgotten.

Oh yeah.. I forgot about that. I think I read where she said they gave a count of 13? I think she should be seen also now that you reminded me of that! It would be different if they gave a count so far off from only manipulating her abdomen but this was an x-ray.
Actually, that was someone on this site who thought they counted 13 spines.  The vet said "at least eight."  Also said "too crowded to tell for sure," and, I think, "perhaps as many as twelve," though I may be mis-remembering that.
