Mom and 10-day-old babies - need advice

My momma cat has 10 day old babies , one died today all seemed fine yesterday, does anyone have advice ? All others appear healthy , momma keeps leaving them a lot , do I have a problem?

Where is mom going when she leaves them? How long is she gone? How many are in the litter?

You need to keep mom and babies in one room with the door closed. Mom needs lots of kitten chow, wet food, and water in the room, and also a litter box. Mom is not to go outside. It is normal for mom to lay outside the box when her kittens are sleeping. You need to visit mom in this room. Your bedroom might be a good room to put them. Mom also needs to be spayed in about 4 weeks.
