About a month ago a cute little black cat started visiting us. It's probably about 6 months old and super friendly. I thought about adopting it but a few days later it shows up with a collor and a bell. I've asked a few neighbors and they've all had visits from it too but no one knows who it belongs to. It looks healthy but I'm just nervous because I have 2 cats. Tonight I opened the door to leave and it came running into the porch. Thankfully my cats were in the house but with summer coming they'll be in the porch. Now I know to look out for it when entering the home but I'm just curious if it can spread any disease to my cats. Mine little cat is up to date on shots but I stopped vaccinating my 15 yr old years ago. Thanks!

Yes it can spread disease to your cats.  What about putting a little note on it's collar asking the owner to contact you?

I have a feral that sits on our window sill and interacts through the glass with my three inside.  My three were feral, they no longer go outside so I stopped vaccinations after all the one year boosters were done.  Now I suppose I have to keep them up to date as pretty soon (maybe not so soon, it's -10C and we have new snow ;) ) the windows will be open, there will be only screens between them and anything the feral has I suppose could easily transmit to my three (five total but only three sit on that window.)
