Farmina Vet Life Renal

I have a 10 year old male cat with renal disease and currently I feed him Purina NF. But the ingredients of NF doesn's satisfy me, it has nothing meaty in it, only animal fat and derivatives. I thought maybe I can switch to Farmina Vet Life Renal, it has at least dried chicken and fish. Does anyone use this product and what are your opinions?

You may  be able to feed commerical cat food instead of the prescription food. Have you seen these web sites?

Both web sites have info about diet options for kidney cats. Always check with the vet before you change diet but keep in mind that many vets don't know much about nutrition and will push the prescription food.
