Hi everybody. It's my first time posting but I saw lots of useful advice here so I'm giving it a go. So, basically my kitty became lethargic suddenly. Last night she was great, eating, pooping regularly and playing. Today when she woke up she hardly ate her breakfast, which she usually loves, and she started acting lethargic. She went pooping twice this morning. The first once was normal but the second one was diarrhoea. It's very weird cause I've been giving her a formula that the vet gave to cure her diarrhoea so I don't understand why. If I play with her she plays but as soon as I stop she doesn't and starts sleeping again. I am very concerned. It's the first time that this happen. I hope you guys can tell me something. Thank you in advance!!!

How old is the kitten?   So that kitten had diarrhea periods earlier, fi she got especial formula against diarehea?   Does she eats this especial formula now too?

What food you give her normally - now?

Of home remedies Im thinking on:

be sure there is warm enough - but not too hot.

Give pedialyte to be sure she isnt dehydrated - for example baby pedialyte, or some home made variation

Give glucose sugar - good for low blood sugar and for perking up some energy.  Glucose sugar proper / dextrose is best, but if you dont have, white Karo syrup or even honey are useful.  With honey, have it as water solution.

Just smear some on lips and the gum....

You seems also to have access to a vet. Contact him?

Is it the kitten in  your pic? she seems quite young, 6 weeks?

Had it been raised by a mom, nursing and all, or is it a rescued bottle baby orphan?

She is 11 weeks old. 2 weeks ago she had diarrhoea even if she was playful and I took her to the vet. He said it's normal in kitties to have diarrhoea because their intestine is very sensitive. He gave a formula to use for 14 days to put on the wet food. Also her dry food changed into a lighter one, so that she could digest it better. The food I'm using and the formula are from purina pro plan. She always liked her food. I took her from a family when she was 8 weeks old. She had her first vaccination and been dewormed regularly and deflead. She was with her mum until that age. I don't know what's going on but she just woke up and started playing and being herself. I guess that's a good sign. I'm gonna wait and see if she starts eating and drinking something. I tried to call the vet my it is closed today. It will open again on Monday. She is eating right now. I'm just gonna wait and see. Can it be possible that a kitten changes mood for a while? Is it because something upset her? Thank you very much for your help!!!

It may perhaps be as with humans, some virus going. Usually we hardly notice it, other times we notice it clearly...

Good you are observant!

She will go through growth spurts where she'll sleep more for a day or two.  It's not usually accompanied by diarrhea.

She went back to normal today. Playing, eating, drinking and pooping normal. Maybe she ate something that upset her
