Nine weeks ago my Willow ran away for 8 days while in heat. She is a small cat. When she came back she was very skinny but recuperated rapidly. She is still small and even though her belly looks a little bigger than before (if you don't know her you wouldn't know) she feels heavier. She is constantly jumping in and out of open closets but I do not know if she is nesting or just curious. She is still playing with Sammy (my dog) chasing around and running all over the house. Her nipples are bigger and pink too.

Is there a possibility that she is not pregnant?

She sounds pregnant to me, but may have another week or so to go before delivery if she mated at the end of her heat cycle. Have you seen or felt kitten movement? Do you have a special nest set up for her? Do you plan to spay her after this litter?

I was planning to spay her before she left but she was faster than me! No, I have not felt or seen any movement and believe me I am constantly touching her belly (she loves it) to see if I feel anything. Yes, I have set up two places in two closets for her to nest, one in my own closet and another one in the room next to my bedroom in case she rather go there instead.

Thank you for your reply.

If you are concerned you could have an x-ray done. Since she is not unwell, time will tell. If she's not very big she may only have one or two kittens inside. Keep us posted!
