To understand how this could happen you have to understand that my dresser isn't in the best condition and when it's damp (as it's been lately) the drawers don't close all the way. Well, yesterday morning, as I was gathering clothes to get dressed in, Slipper suddenly rose from the back of one of my drawers like the Creature from the Black Lagoon! It shocked me, and it made me laugh!

ENTRY: The other day the vet complimented Tony for being a good boy at the vet. She meant that they only had to use a cat muzzle on him, and hadn't needed to use sedation like last time. Baby steps I guess.

These kittens got me involved with fostering and rescue. The little tabby with white & orange on his ear is my cat Chicken! He was so happy when he was well enough to be integrated into the kitten crew!

This is him now... He was a failed foster "unadoptable" by the vet our rescue used! They said with his hip issues and one fever when he was about 8 or 9 weeks old that they couldn't guarantee that he was "healthy"...Thank goodness b/c Chicken has and is my heart [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Jasmine has actually figured out that when she gets her claws caught in something they shouldn't have been in in the first place (i.e. curtains), the way to remove them is to retract them, rather than extending them further and pulling harder in a panic! Very smart. Now if she could just figure out that it's better not to get her claws caught in the first place. :lol3:

ENTRY - Mama is a dominant kitty - he defends his territory vigorously.  There is no cat that will not submit to his masterful displays of neck raising, ear stretching, and wrarr-rrarring.  He hates me with a passion because I once tried to put him in a carrier.  Secretly though, he snuggles up with me at night when he thinks no one is aware.

ENTRY - Delilah is a happy drooler! When she's being brushed, being pet, playing with her catnip toys, or even just allowed to sleep on top of you, the waterworks will begin.

ENTRY.

Even as an 8 week old kitten, Boba was obsessed with edges, shadows, and imperfections. He's now pointed out many blemishes in our walls that we don't ever notice. He does this by jumping up at the marks like they are some sort of bug. We told my sister who is looking for a house that Boba could do the inspection.

Luna keeps my roommate up scratching at her cardboard boxes, so we started turning them up at night. She figured out how to turn them over by jumping inside! I'm not sure there's a single side of a single box without a hole in it

I used to have a trackball that I really love, so I totally understand cats loving THIS kind of trackball
and all of my cats do!

Life is the art of compromise.  I give her three treats, four times a day, and SHE doesn't get the cops called on me!

Usually in the morning, when it's time to feed the cats, Slipper will come and wake me up with no problem. This morning, despite her best efforts, I just wasn't waking up. She would rub against my face, purr, and I'd pet her and fall back asleep. She rubbed against my face, purred louder, and I reached up to pet her and fell back asleep. She patted my face with a paw and purred, but I fell back asleep. Ra, tired of waiting for his food, jumped onto my stomach. (He's a big cat.) Anyway, here are pics of the two in question (they got to go back to sleep after I fed them.)

ENTRY.   Mouse gets really hyper if I get up early in the morning rather than sleeping in (my usual), and starts to race about the apartment wanting me to follow him and play hide and seek from room to room.  It's like having a toddler child rather than a cat.

ENTRY Our morning excitement was a squirrel in the yard.  Eclipse ran from window to window watching it.

Snoop grabs my hand when I stop petting him. He just loves all the attention he can get.
