Ripley (formerly Pipsqueak) is the only kitty I've had who wags her tail like a dog when she's happy. She was named Pipsqueak by the rescue I got her from because she was so undersized; the size of a five week old kitten at ten weeks. With a good home and reliable meals, she is now a solid, healthy 8lbs and no longer a 'pipsqueak' so we changed her name. She also sounds like a herd of elephants when she runs around the house on her routine 8pm 'crazies'.

Robin is lacking front claws, but that doesn't stop him from needing to go through the motions. He's always happy clawing away! And my pet sitter would love one!!

@Margret  , thank you.  It was an action shot but not hard to catch as Mouse ended up doing somersaults pretty regularly for the first couple of years of his life - he's never been very gifted in the art of 'stopping' gracefully.
He still ends up doing them now on the odd occasion but as rare they are harder to capture.

Now - back to those entries for the circuit toy...

our little deedee is my 'helper' when preparing meals for all three cats. sometimes mommy drops a piece or two, so she happily eats those tidbits up. but the really cool thing is that in the last several days, deedee has taken to standing on her hind legs as i bring her meal to her food mat and she walks along and even turns circles while walking on her hind legs! deedee is very talented!

Last night we had a lightning storm. While most of the kitties have begun taking thunder and lightning in stride, Spot and Asia are still terrified. Spot ran around the house last night trying to confront the source of the sounds (sometimes I think he's part dog) while Asia snuggled against me, shivering with each crack of thunder (there was ground lightning and a tree in the backyard got struck last night).

Carrot is very talkative. He sneakily made not one peep when we were looking at him in the adoption room. As soon as we stepped out of the door with him in a carrier, he started to show off his voice.

Hoping they feel better soon!  Right after we moved into our house in the desert, a joshua tree on the land next to ours was struck by lightning.  So was the real estate sign attached to the fence around the land.

Hekitty hissed at a friend of mine who lit up a cigarette in my house.  She's helping me keep to my quitting.  Going on 4 months now!

Mouse was up early today which is unusual - he was through in the spare room when I woke up.  Normally he waits on the bed until I get up.  He was very happy when I got up at 9 am and he raced about the apartment with thunder paws, skidding on the hall rugs, and bouncing up on to the bed wanting to play.  He lasted for about 30 seconds of chasing his feather wand round and round on the bed and then lay down all worn out!
He did race about for another half hour, and chased down a few biscuits before going to sleep on one of my chairs.  Busy day.

Luci slept right by my head last night. I was dreaming and she must have sensed they weren't pleasurable. She would lay across my arms. When I would wake up she was staring at me and nudged me to be petted. That was a first with her.

ENTRY - Diablo :rbheart: fact: I'm getting in my way-back machine for this one, as I may have still be single-digits in age when he died. His favorite spot in the world was the counter next to the kitchen sink. He was ALWAYS up there. He was an all-black domestic long hair, and just looked absolutely regal up there. He also had a tad bit of a smushed in face, so guessing there was some Persian or similar breed mixed in his blood.

Buffy :rbheart: fact: She is the only pure-bred cat we ever owned. She was an apple-head Blue Point Siamese. My sister's friend was the breeder (she bred Siamese cats and Alaskan Malamutes for show purposes). Being an apple-head, she wasn't very suitable for showing, so she was sold to someone as a pet. I think he was someone she knew, or a friend of a friend? Anyway, not long after they had her, she threw up on a $5,000 rug, and well, she went back to my sister's friend after that. Just in time for her to be leaving town to go to a dog show. So, we played baby-sitter for the week they were gone. By the time they got back, my mom said she couldn't have her back :lol3: She was quite happy to hear that! She was already paid (the original purchase was non-refundable) and she was not looking forward to looking for another home for her, so it worked out!
