That's it. Did the vet give you a second worming treatment for two weeks later?

Yep, in 3 weeks we are taking her in for her spay and she will get her 2nd treatment at the same time. :)

The kittens are 11 weeks old now!

I am getting nervous, though, because we haven't been able to find any homes. We've decided to keep the one female kitten, so that means we still need 4 good homes! Our vet told us not to advertise on craigslist, and I agree with that idea...we've exhausted the limited pool of our friends/acquaintances and none of them want kittens!

Have you tried asking your vet if you could post a notice advertising them in the vet office?

They are all so precious!!! I agree with hanging their picture at the vets, also maybe get on the radio on one of those buy and sale spots and give your story of needing a good home, with emphasis on good. I've had the best luck by saying I would leave money at the vet for neutering. Never give money for that directly, I found out the hard way that doesn't work. Be careful with the kittens being black, some people use them in cults, so be observant on how they present themselves.  I have found one good way to judge people (I was  landlord for many years) is to look at their vehicle, if it is a junkheap , full of trash and hasn't been washed in years, the people themselves almost always turn out to be bad news. You want someone who cares about their belongings, they are after all going to be giving your babies a home.    I myself think they are all just absolutely beautiful!

Yes we did, but the vets office doesn't seem to get much traffic. I will make one anyway, though :)

The vet is very nice and gave them a quick look-over for free (teeth and fur for fleas) and one of the receptionists was interested in one kitten, but hasn't made any definite plans to take one :/

Thank you! I did not know that about cults using black cats!!! Shocking...I did know about people using kittens off of craigslist for dog-fighting bait. So much scary stuff! Thank you for the advice. My mom is a landlord as well and has had to deal with a lot of sketchy people like that over the years!

They are just as cute as they can be! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

I can see that the gorgeous orange cat is going to be a very big boy with those large paws he's sporting!

The little calico face is adorable too!

I agree with Di and Bob about being very careful to screen potential new owners, and also no Craig's list. And yes, be especially careful with the black cats.

Good luck! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
