any idea what this is called?

so i have a hemingway cat name vader who is 3 months old that i rescued when he was a month old. he has a claw that i call a crab claw. any idea what its called?

interesting, I've never seen that. Looks like it's a birth defect where an extra toe might've been growing but never did.

I'm not an expert, but a lot of polydactyl cats will have partial extra toes, sometimes in weird places, so this might be one of those almost toes that started to develop but never really did. Keep an eye on it to make sure it's not bothering him, and let the vet know about it when you go in for checkups so they can look at it and make sure everything's in good shape. Most of the time it's not a problem, just a curiosity.

I agree with Molly92. Never seen something like this before but have had cats with extra toes or fused toes so I would imagine that it is partial toe that didn't develop all of the way.
