Hi guys,

Can you help me figure out what is happening with my friend's cat nose? The cat had that for couple of weeks now, it doesnt seem to get any better.

What could it be?

Thanks for your help!

Kim

My friend just gave me some more information...

She says that it only LOOKS like a crust, but when you touch it, it doesnt feel like one. So it would be like a stain?

He never scratches it.

When she touches it, it doesnt seem to bother him at all.

At first she thought is was a scratch, the color was pale pink, and as time goes by, it became darker and bigger. Now the size seems to be stable.

She says that the white hair that grows on it gives the impression that it is whiter than it really is!

I really dont understand what it could be...

Hey there.  It could be a a wound, or an infection of some type, or possibly a fungal infection.  It in theory (although i wouldn't stress about this) could be a tumor of some type, but skin conditions are hard to diagnose, so really a vet visit is what's needed.
