I noticed FirstMate's ingredients is all animal 'meal' which is more preferable than wellness's de-boned animal.

But in terms of G.A  , wellness's has higher protein. 

which is a better quality food ?

'Better' is always hard to call. They're different. If it were me, I'd go for the Wellness Core - its higher protein, gluten/grain free and is primarily meat (rather than fish) based. That's just my opinion though ;) I'll be interested to see what others have to say :)
