Hello everyone.  I'm new here to TCS, but I can't remember a time when I didn't have a cat or cats in my home.

Right now I share my home with my two boys.

This is Simba. My sister in law found him outside the house while walking her dog.  I had two cats already so she called me down to take a look.  He wasn't even 2 months yet, so we brought him into the garage put him in a cage and fed and watered him.  We called Animal Control and I was expecting that when I got back from work he'd be gone.......WRONG!! They never came and it was hot in the garage so I decided to bring him upstairs and keep him in my spare room out of the way of my resident cats until Animal Control could pick him up. They never came and Simba is going to be 3 this coming May. He is very special to me because about 3 months after him moving in, I had to put my 12 year old male cat (Maximus), who was battling hyperthyroidism to sleep. This little guy made the loss easier to bear.

This is Puma. Almost a year after losing my older boy, his liter mate passed away and it was just me and Simba, who was lonely.  So I went to the shelter to see if I could adopt a companion for him.   This little guy was about 8 months old and was adopted twice and returned twice (apparently he was a handful). I picked him up and he immediately rubbed his head all over my face.  It was a wrap he chose me and came home with me that day.  Simba took to him instantly and they are the best of friends.  Puma just turned 2 in January.

Puma and Simba are looking forward to making lots of friends here.

Welcome puma and simba! It's so nice of you to adopt kittens. Especially a challenging one! Mind you, he's georgeous! Look forward to seeing more of your fur babies on this site.

Hello and welcome to The Cat Site! :wavey:
Simba and Puma are lovely. The photo of Simba made me laugh, he looks so startled - "what, you're going to put my photo on the internet?!" :lol3:

Thank you for the warm welcome,

He is a handful, but so affectionate too.  I see you have your own black beauty as well.  I've always thought black cats are fabulous.  Like tiny panthers.

Simba thinks I've violated his right to privacy (ha ha).

Thanks for the welcome and I hope to see you around the site.

Sorry for your loss.  I know the pain of losing fur babies.  But kittens make everything better.  Enjoy them.

Simba and Puma are beautiful kitties.
I am sorry for your loss of your other two kitties. I know the pain of losing kitties, as my precious kitty Mickey passed in 2014. I still mourn his loss. I do have two new kitties now and I love them so much. I still miss Mickey but my new kitties do help with the loss.
Enjoy your kitties.
They are lucky to have found their forever home with you!

Yes, losing a cat is very hard. But everyone here understands. And most of us have new kitties to bring us joy. Be waiting for your next photos of puma and simba.

My goodness your boys are adorable. Simba is very cute, but Puma takes my breath away. I love your description of when you first saw him. I had a very similar experience with my black cat, Toothless.

When we took her out of her cage at the shelter the 1st thing she did was bump my head and rub against us (my husband me, and our 3 kids). Right off the cat she was saying "So I'm going home with you guys... right?). To this day I'm not sure if we choose her or if she choose us. I just know it was love at first sight.

Can't wait to hear more about your beautiful kitties.

Sorry to hear about Maximus too btw. I love your cats names!
Thank you Inanna,

I think Toothless chose you and your family and I'm sure she's got a great home.  It's such a process for me when I have to name cats.  Puma had three different names before I finally settled on Puma and poor Simba, he was so small when we found him I couldn't see his male parts and I thought he was a girl and was calling him Ginger for 2 weeks until the vet told me told me he was a boy........................oooops!
