I feed Nala Ava Marie Freshpet food. She loves it. It is expensive but I feel it's worth it. She's in good health, looks very pretty with her shiny coat, she does not really shed. Her teeth look good, I give her Greenie's for treats like her veterinarian recommended. She only gets moderate exercise and I'm wondering if that's why she's getting a little chunky? She will be 7 months old on Friday! She weighs a little over 7 pounds. She actually weighs the same as Clawdia and Clawdia is a little over a year old. I don't think Clawdia is going to get any bigger. Another thing I do is as soon as I discover Nala Ava Marie's dish is empty, I promptly refill it. I had just read something once that a kitten shouldn't really have to have a restricted calorie intake. I don't want to rush her to the vet, I'm not really concerned she has a medical crisis but I do want to watch so she doesn't become overweight. If I over feed her now, will she become accustomed to overeating? I don't want to deprive her of nutrients but with her moderate activity level I don't want her getting too fat. She's also getting so long from the tip of her adorable pink nose to the tip of her shiny black tail. She kind of has a little bit of a chunky tummy. Is that normal? She also has long, thin legs & looks like she has white stockings on! [emoji]127872[/emoji][emoji]128149[/emoji][emoji]128151[/emoji] how much bigger is she going to get? When do kittens stop growing?

At 7 months old she'll still have some growing to do. Cats have usually reached their adult height/length by a year old, but will still have some filling out to do between the ages of 1 and 2. Basically kitten = child, 1 year old = adolescent/teenager and 2 year old = adult. At 7 months, though, I wouldn't be so worried about keeping her bowl full at all times. It certainly won't do her any harm to go a few hours without access to food...I'm sure she'll tell you if she's really hungry. I know mine do  :lol3: [article="32740"][/article][article="22363"][/article]
