Need help

my girl is on day 62 I think. She ate a small amount of food yesterday around 5. Ever since she has been sleeping and breathing heavily with some discharge. Is it normal for her to be so lethargic?

Does the discharge have any sort of odor? What color is it?

She's nearing the end of her pregnancy and being tired and off her food isn't uncommon.

No odor, it was mostly clear with a greenish/yellow tint. She's had that about 4 or 5 times today.

She has only got out of her box a few times today and won't drink any water.

That's probably her mucus plug. She's getting close. How certain are you of the day she mated?

I am pretty sure it was Jan 25th or 26th

Is it normal for her to sleep this long with heavy breathing? No licking or anything.

Do you think she is having contractions?  Do you have a vet you could call and discuss with?

She doesn't seem to be. She only moans a little if I put my hand on her belly.

All the vets are closed. There is an emergency vet but they triple charge you for holidays.

I would be a bit concerned if I were you.  Hopefully some others will weigh in.  Can you get in touch with your regular vet first thing tomorrow?

It sounds like her mucus plug.  If you gently lay your hand on her belly do you feel it getting tight than easing?

No I haven't felt that at all. Just heavy breathing. She seems to be resting a little better now. Still no licking or drinking. I called the emergency vet and they said she should be fine if she has not started pushing. I am taking her in the morning if there is no change.

She sounds in regular labor to me. Stage one labor can last a good 24 hours. Cats are uncomfortable and breathe heavily. See how she does tonight, and call your vet tomorrow with any concerns. I'm guessing she'll deliver just fine. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
