My cat is 62 days pregnant and she has since last night been spotting off and on every few hours a droplet of dark red blood with no Oder and no discomfort. She just licks it up and moved on. She has become so affectionate and she's usually so shy and now she won't let me leave her side. Her water broke about 4 hours ago she was panting and having some minor contractions. It was pure white I thought she peed but it was in the middle of my floor and not in a sitting position. I at one point saw a little something crowning I guess u could say but it has gone back in ( it was only peeking out so slightly). She is now just sleeping and didn't seem to have any more contractions happening. Her belly definitely dropped as she isn't looking round anymore but also isn't producing milk yet just big nipples. Is it normal for a cat to have contractions and panting and water breaking and now nothing. She seems very relaxed and in no pain. Help please. Should I be worried? No ones open as it's Easter :/

I hoping the thing you saw come out and go back was the water sack.  I heard of this happening and the cat and kittens were fine.  The other alternative is a kitten stuck but you don't mention seeing the water break or leaking so I'm thinking it hasn't happened yet.  Did you see the mucus plug?

I did see the water break but I did not ever see a mucus plug.

Not everyone sees the mucus plug.  Keep an eye on her.  Everything could be fine and it doesn't sound like she is in distress.

How's it going? It does sound like labor. Has anything else happened?
