Hi this is midnights first pregnancy and will be getting spayed after this litter. She was in her last heat at the end of January so she should be just about 65 days? She should be due soon I have been keeping a close eye on her.She just lays around most of the time today and yesterday she dug puppy pads in the litter box..no signs of any mucus or contractions. She won't go into a quiet area I have made she wants to be in the kitchen on the counter so we put her a box up there.I am getting worried that she isn't showing signs of labor or even getting close any suggestions? Thank You

.

So this morning she HaS been up and around a lot..she is resting now when I pet her she is chirping and purring. Today there is a lot of fetal movement almost looks like boiling.any advice? Is this normal or signs of impending labor?

It sounds like she's getting close!

I think it's smart to set up a few nest options around the apartment. She might want to be in the kitchen now to be around you, but will likely want a nest in a dark, quiet spot to actually raise the kittens. Did you buy a small scale and kmr? They're important to have when the kittens arrive.

Please be sure to keep her inside and away from all intact males until she is spayed. She and kittens can all be spayed 8 weeks after delivery, but mom will probably go into heat before then. She can actually get pregnant within a week of delivery.

The male cats will still be fertile for up to a month after being fixed; it takes a while for everything to leave their systems. This is good timing to neuter them because mom will want to be in a room alone with her kittens for around a month anyway.

Definitely do not leave the males alone with mom or kittens until a month after the neuters. Hormonal/territorial urges can cause a male to kill a litter.

Hard tummy equals kittens soon, but could still be a few days. My cat had a hard tummy for a few days before. Hang in there! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Thank you for the information!! This morning she has been more active and alert doesn't seem so tired!! Haven't seen as much movement from the babies though I've been trying to keep an eye out for any mucus discharge usually not a problem but today she won't let me look. I believe today she is 63 to 65 days. I am staying close to her to keep an eye on her. Just a waiting game now!!!

Van someone pls help? I have been taking her temperature under her back leg how many degrees do I ad?I am up with her quite early this morning I could not believe her stomach today !!its so hard and when the kittens are just right you can see and feel there whole body just sticking out!!I can feel her mammory glands I think when I pet her stomach so she has milk. Still won't leave the kitchen which is a high traffic area with 4 kids and animals but I have been keeping the other animals out she doesn't seem interested in leaving her current box on the counter. She is right around 64 to 65 days today any help is appreciated .

Her temp under her leg has been reading at the 97 range ? I did let charlie orange cat above in to see her last night so he would stop crying I did supervise the whole time but she really didn't mind him being there

You add 2 degrees, though temp alone is not always the most reliable indicator. She sounds close though. If she feels comforted by the other cat, it's fine. Good luck! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Thats  a very beautiful cat
 Yep she looks pregnant

I could tell you when the kittens could be born, just tell me the day, month and date she mated and I could calculate it for you.

I could also tell you what color the kittens will be if you tell me which color the father was or fathers- they can have many dads.....
