Thanks so much for asking about her.  My foster baby, Kelsey, is no longer sniffling like she was, thank goodness! I haven't heard about her brother and how he's doing but will find out this weekend.

I was going to take her to the vet tomorrow and get antibiotics if needed but she's eating like a champ and gaining weight so fast. Weighed her tonight after her late night feeding and she's 11.5 ounces at only 4 weeks old so right on schedule.  It's really great that this site is here for all my questions.  I appreciate all of your advice!!

I love that she's getting sight and hearing-oriented now.  Her teeth are starting to come in and in a week or so she'll be playing.  She's solid black and looks like a little black bear. I just love fostering rescues!  It's been 3 years now but only a few bottle babies were in that mix.

Glad to hear she is better! Kittens should weigh one pound at four weeks, and continue to gain a pound a month for a good six months. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I know the normal temperature for an adult cat is around 101. What about a 4 week old kitten?

Ridicolusly, I have never thought on it much. I suppose similiar, sooner somewhat higher than lower.

Why?

I have googled it and it's lower than an adult cat's.  When they are born, they're 97 degrees, hence the need for a heating pad for a bottle baby.

Reason was she's a foster bottle baby and she was sneezing a tiny bit of green mucous. The head of the rescue group gave me some antibiotic mixed with liquid to give her, tiny bit. Wanted me to take her temp and it was not high, so she's not full-blown sick.  Just some sniffles.  99.2 was her temp.

I would continue to give her the antibiotic. She has an upper respiratory infection (URI) and needs the meds to clear it. If she has any fever it should diminish soon. The real clue is if she's eating and acting normally. Is she?

Yes, I'll definitely continue giving it to her. I've got 6 days worth for her. She is "eating" her KMR like a champ and gaining so fast. She's not lethargic at all (when she's awake) so I'm feeling good that if she was getting something we caught it before it got worse.  I'm attaching a photo of her!  She weighs 13.5 oz. and is about 4 weeks old now. Her teeth just came through a few days ago  :)

Ooops, I tried attaching her pic but it said I don't have permission. Oh, well, she's cute!  Sold black with the blue eyes that all babies have

She is a cutie. Her brother was found and brought into our vet's office a couple of days before she was. The mother was never found. Her brother has had congestion / URI problems and has required tube feeding at the vet. He's back with his foster mom and is better. That's why I worried when Kelsey started sneezing greenish mucous. She's sleeping with a full tummy now. Up to 14 ounces this evening!

That's terrific! Has the sneezing/green mucus cleared up now?

I saw a little this morning but gave her another tiny dose of Clavamox in liquid. She drinks over a tablespoon of KMR so her appetite is fine and she can breathe well while feeding.  Thanks for asking!  Her brother is a little fighter too with all he's been through.

It sure sounds like he's a fighter! Bless his heart! Are you keeping both of them, or just fostering?

Just fostering this little girl. When I got her on 3/12, she only weight 4.5 ounces. Now she's tipping the scales at 14 ounces!  I'm also fostering a dilute tortie, 3 months old, up in my kitten room.  Just found a forever home for a medium hair Norwegian Forest type female last weekend.  It's so heartwarming finding them good homes.
