I need input reguarding my cat Max, so I am taking this opportunity to introduce myself and my family- My cats are Precious (14 year old girl), Max (2 year old male) and Soluna (the "mongral" that Max brought home on the Soltice and full moon of 2014 that Mommy feel in love with) and my beloved bunny Galaxy.
We just had a recent scare with my sweet Max; we also had a scare, not as severe, a few months ago. Max has FUS- my past kitty, at the bridge, also had FUS and it cost over 1000s in ER vet bills. Over the last several days Max has had incident- a few months ago I was miraculously able to save him with an herbal tincture, cranberry juice, and apple cider vinegar. This time around he was peeing blood for a whole day and yesterday AM as I was getting us ready for the vet, my little devil began peeing normally and it was clear that he was many times better. I am still watching him closely and using herbs and arnica, love, and such....
Until recently I had never heard of sexual reassignment surgery for male kitties with FUS issues; During the last incident the Health Food store owner suggest the possibility, as she had done this for her own cat- Freddie became Fredricka..............I talked to her again yesterday, turns out she did this 30 years ago.
Has anyone done this in recent years for their kitty? I don't have money lying around for this, however I can save for it and look into low cost options. There is no amount of money that would matter if he could be healthy and happy....Any and all input is appreciated.
