my new kitties smokey and pepe

Hello everyone, i would like you to meet my new 5 month old kittens smokey and pepe. We just lost our beautiful boy wurzel, and in memory of him i adopted these two cuties from a cat shelter. They are very mischevious like our wurzel, and look like him too. Smokey's a bit of a lazy chapper, and likes to sleep in my fruit bowl, and pepe's a ball of energy. She's in to everything! In fact i'm having trouble keeping her out of the fridge and sink. It's almost impossible to cook these days! They both love running around the house and play fighting, and are always hungry! That's teenagers....

A big welcome to Pepe and Smokey!     They are really beautiful.  Do they both have magnificent tails like the one showing?  That's a tail any cat can be proud of.    

 I think it's wonderful that you adopted two black cats in honor of Wurzel.  After my Milo passed away, I also adopted a cat in his memory and it really helped me cope with his loss.  You will never forget Wurzel and he can never be replaced but now your heart will just expand to fit in two more dear little beings.         It sounds like they are already fitting in and wrapping you around their claws.    I hope we hear (and see) a lot more of them in the future!  

Yes, that's true. You will never replace your old friend, but a new one can bring you a measure of joy. Yes, they both have bushy tails, but pepe's looks bigger because she's petite. It feels really good to adopt, to save lives. 446 cats were adopted over our long wk end from the cat shelter. When we got there, most cats were gone. That's fantastic if they all went to good homes. At least i know two went to a loving family.

Lovely kitties! Love that bushy Tail!!  Sometimes you have to play with them to wear them out so they will sleep. I found open boxes and paperbags to be a godsend to keeping them occupied

Thankyou everyone. I am enjoying reading all your posts. I play with them, made them toys, and bought a cat tree. But they still prefer the sink, and getting into everything when i cook. Very good at bedtime. When we go to bed, they follow, and sleep all night.
