So a bit off back story, I went to get Sophie food and the woman at the pet shop asked me to look at some kittens and age then and help her figure out how to take care of them. (Someone dumped them in a box at their store)

I ended up taking them home for the night because someone was meant to take them tomorrow but I know they won't last the night without food.

I got them home, fed them all, stimulated them to go potty, put a heat pad in there, and changed out their bedding.

They have to be 2-3 weeks old. They're eyes are open, their ears are up, and they're stimbling around.

Here are the questions. How much do I feed them if I can't weigh them? How often? And does anyone have a method? First feeding was a bit of a mess!

Thankfully they are all sleeping now and I have a bit of time before next feeding. Here's the only pic I could get.

Also, the runt is in bad shape. He's all matted and doesn't look like he was getting cared for like his siblings.
And one of the ginger ones has an eye shut ahs covered in gunk and the other one half shut.

Any ideas how I can help them for tonight?

For the eyes, use a clean warm wash cloth to gently wipe and see if it helps.

Babies at this age usually eat every couple hours. This page has good info.

They won't post my other response. Kitten rescue dot org has great info!

Use a warm wet cloth to gently wipe the eye. See if that helps. Good luck!

This is the best pic I could get of the eyes. I tried a warm cloth but didn't want to rub too hard and nothing came off :(

That cat is also awake and crying while all its siblings are sleeping soundly.

Hold the warm damp rag on his eyes for as long as he'll let you, to soften up the gunk.

Are you going to raise them or are they still goig to someone else tomorrow?

They are going to someone tomorrow. I can't do it right now with sophie due anytime now.

Also, Sophie got really stressed out when I brought them home. They were squealing in hunger and she kept hissing at me every time I tried to touch them. I think she thought I was hurting them.

So I had to put her in a separate room for the night. I also don't know what diseases they are carrying and don't want her exposed to them.

I kinda felthe runt. It is the cutest fuzzy tortie. It is sooo cute! I'll try and get pics at feeding time.

Is that the one who had the eye stuck shut? If so, it looks great! The one who is matted you can wipe down with a warm damp cloth. They must feel so much better being fed and loved. You are awesome! Are you giving them KMR with a syringe? How many mL's are you feeding them?

Yes, the last one is the one with the eye that was shut. It's still not fully open but I'll keep doing the warm cloth at meal times and I'm sure he'll be all better soon.

The matted one is the tortie. She's matted on her bottom side by her belly. I'll wipe her down next time they eat as well.

I am giving them kmr. Since I was at the pet shop when I got them, I just picked up a can there. It's not a brand that I've seen mentioned although it is european so I'm not sure. But it's the best I could do for tonight.

They're eating 9-12 cc via the syringe. A few at a bit less. I think they need more though. I'm not sure...I read to feed them every 4 hrs and they need 80 cc's meaning (about) 15 cc per feeding. But I wonder since I have no idea when the last time they ate was before I got them, should I maybe feed them more often? And if so, how much should I give them?

Oh, there was one kitten that didnt wake up for feeding. All the other babies cried until they got their turn except this one. And when I picked him up he meowed very quietly and didn't squeal like his siblings do. He ate like a champ though. But just seemed more lethargic than his brothers and sisters. Should I try and feed him more often or as long as hes eating well during meal time it's okay?

I would suggest feeding them every 2 hours. Give them as much as they want, but at least 8 mL's each time. You'll be giving them less but more often. And wake them for feedings if necessary. You can hold a warm tea bag on his eye, and be sure and mention it to whomever takes them next, because he may need terramycin ointment from the vet.

Okay, so I'll up the feedings to being more often.

How do I know when they're full?
And how much is too much or is there no too much right now?

It's almost impossible to over feed a kitten, but they will usually turn their head away when they are full.

Feeding time went excellent!

Everyone ate between 12-15 cc's just two hrs after they ate last!

Sleepy only ate 10 at first but after I burped him I offered him more and he ate another 6!

And eyes is looking so much better that I didn't even notice his eyes even I fed him. I thought I was crazy after they were all done and that I maybe fed one twice. But nope, all the gunk is gone and his eyes are both fully open!

Awww! I'm so glad it went well. They really do need the more frequent feedings. I'm really happy about his eye. Did the matted up baby get clean? You are doing a fantastic job! [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

This feeding was a little later than I would have liked but we had some time changing confusion and it was closer to 3 hrs than two.

Everyone ate 10 cc except for one that ate 9.

Eyes had a but of gunk on his eye again but I wiped away easily.

And the tortie is much less matted than before :)

Also, they didnt complain as much when I woke them to feed. I think they're getting used to human feedings. :)
