Hello. My girl is about 65 days along. Just playing the waiting game for now. She mostly sleeps constantly and absolutely will not let me touch her belly. What signs should i watch for in early labor. Good luck to all of you expecting babies soon as well!

She is calico. The sire was a light orange color. Is there any way to predict what the kittens will look like?

Looks like it's gonna be a whole mix o colours. The boys will probably be either black, grey, ginger, cream, black and white, grey and white, ginger and white, cream and white. The girls will be either ginger, cream tortishell, blue cream, ginger and white, cream and white, calicio or dilute calico

If the father is dilute and the maternal grandmother is dilute, you'll probably get a lot of dilutes! I'm not sure of the exact statistics but probably at least half. I think they'll be very pretty kittens!

What breed?

When she comes to you for belly rubs that is a change in behavior that could mean labor is near. Good luck to you!

She is mostly laying around sleeping. The past couple days she has going in and out of her nesting area. Also alot of movement from kittens but today I've noticed none. Does this lack of movement and kicking mean she is getting close??

Yes, she is getting close.  the kittens could have moved into the birth canal.  Does she look slimmer?  65 days tha average so some will go longer.  So long as she isn't in distress she should be ok.  Here is some light reading for you

It's been a long time. A visit to the vet would not be out of order. He or she can tell you how close and what the development of the kittens is.

Does she look slimmer?  The kittens could have moved into the birth canal and have less room to move around.

Do you know exactly when she mated?  Is this her first litter?  I wouldn't necessarily be concerned yet.

Talias water just broke. There is a greenish substance with it but no foul odor. Normal??

Shortly after my last post Talia delivered five beautiful kittens! Labor and delivery went by quickly. She was a champ. This was her first litter and she didnt need much assistance at all. Except the fifth was nursing still attached to cord and placenta. I just tore it off. I learned alot from this site. Thank u all for your advise!!

Please keep us posted! Weighing them every day is the best way to make sure that all are thriving. You will likely have a runt.

Do you plan to have her spayed when this litter is weaned? She can get pregnant within a week of delivery, so it's very important to keep her inside and away from intact males until the spay.
