Yikes! Hecate's not just allergic to fish, but to shellfish too!

Wow... That was a bit scary. Still keeping an eye on her, but Hecate started wheezing audibly on inhales after trying Friskies Concoctions Chicken in Creamy Crabby Sauce. So... we did our research, and gave her a quarter of a 25mg Benedryl. That comes to about 6.25mg. Oh, she did not take being pilled well. I got scratched.


This is how mad she was about the pill. Foaming at the mouth, hiding behind the toilet. once the foaming stopped, she got 5 treats for being a (relatively) good sport. Will update if I spot any new problems.

The foaming is because the pill was bitter. Poor baby though. 

She seems to be a bit off her feed this morning. She was begging the minute I went into the kitchen to make coffee, then licked it twice and walked away. Otherwise, she seems alert. And she's my picky princess, so her not eating alot right away isn't worrisome yet. Still watchful.

Lil Bit is the same way acts like she is starving will about trip me if I go to the kitchen and I give her something she will smell it lick it and start to bury it. About an hour later I see her in there eating a way but if she sees someone looking at her eating she will quit.
