How've you been since your surgery? Did it help you at all?

Oh yes, it's helped me a lot! How about you? Before my surgery I had extremely bad headaches daily. Now I don't have them anymore. The doctor says it was the growths in my sinuses mostly. I don't have to use nearly the decongestants and anti histamines anymore either. It's been great! What about you?

Unfortunately, my smell and taste are still affected
3-5 days of the week, i have the same problem. i mentioned it to my ent a few weeks ago when i saw him, and he said it can take 6-12 months to fully heal. he said i am healing nicely though. he mentioned that i have nasal polyps, but not the kind that require surgery, and that the follicles are not pushing the mucous away like they should. So, I take astelin twice a day and rhinocort once a day. i still have yet to see an improvement, and it's making me very po'd. i seriously am thinking of going to see an allergist or different ent.

I'm sorry to hear you're not getting results from your surgery. I didn't really experience the smell/taste thing. Edcept I had a slight constant odor before my surgery.

I don't understand why he didn't take care of your polyps as long as he was in there. Since I'm not an ENT and don't know much about it, I suppose there could be a reason. I would go to another ENT if I were you. Even if just to see what he says. Take your medical records with you. Go to the hosipital and request a copy of any surgical reports/notes.
