Today I got to bring home Vincent, my cat I adopted who has had a UTI. Test showed he had crystals in his urine, and I am a little nervous about making sure he's okay.

He still adjusting a little, but is comfortable wandering around, sitting on my lap and getting pets. He didn't eat much when fed, and I was told he ate before I picked him up. Je also hasn't drunk much water. He's running around happily, amd isn't showing any signs of discomfort, having napped and cleaned his legs and paws today; he also hasn't attempted to use the litter box at all.

He's 3 1/2 years old, and this is the second home he's lived in - is it normal for cats to eat and drink little, and not urinate or poo when they forst arrive, despite otherwise seeming fine and comfortable?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, a little anxious and its very late.

Yes, this is normal.  Cats can take some time to adjust. If he still hasn't used the litter box by tomorrow though that would be a time for concern.
