Kindle E-reader useres - Critical software update required

Amazon is notifying Kindle users about a critical software upgrade that is required: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201994710&tag=&tag=thecatsite Not all verions of the Kindle are affected. The Amazon link lists which ones needs the update.

It looks like you need to update by March 22, 2016. After that you will get an error message trying to use the Kindle and then you have to manually update the software.

Good reminder!  I almost never get through all the e-mails that come through; but I did see that one a while back. That was what led me to look into trading in my old kindle.  But right now I can't remember if I ran the update on DH's when my new kindle came.  

Got my update automatically a few days back when I turned it on.
