My Miss Kitty wakes me up in the morning by rubbing her face gently on my hand...even though it might be at 5 am, I can't be cranky with such a sweet wake up.

Spookie is so sweet and comes running meowing at me when I come home from work in the afternoon. She misses her momma!

our little deedee and punkin (both just 7 months old now) run off much of their excess kitten energy by playing chase through the house -- upstairs, downstairs, across the cat wall furniture! our jaspurr (who will be 4 years old in june) many times joins them!

ENTRY - I'll start with Sara. I don't really know what happened before we got her, but she was such a skittish kitty (still is to an extent). I always described her as a bit "neurotic" as she would pull her hair out. We knew the poor girl must have gone through some pretty traumatic things in her life. We just kept loving her, even though she really didn't want us to touch her, and she didn't come by us very much (and did bad things like chewing all my coax cables!). Eventually though, she became comfortable in her own skin. She stopped pulling her hair out, and started warming up to us. This took years before that happened. So, I just want to say to folks that want to give up on their cats that are so aloof or seem unloving - give them time. A lot of time, and a LOT of love. Trust me, it will be very worth it. And always remember - you adopt a cat not only for your sake, but also for theirs.

I just found out Robin sleeps where I sit on the sofa when I am at work, and about 2 hours before I'm due to come home, he jumps in the window and looks for me to walk down the street. Then he keeps looking at the front door. After a few seconds he looks sad and puts his head in his paws. He looks very bored and sad, and I think some new catnip toys would totally cheer him up when I'm not there!

Our current FURmily is "only" five girls ranging in age from the "baby" of 11 to the "queen" of 18.  They do love their toys and treats! and they actually won another KitNipBox on another friend's site a year or so ago, so they know what great surprises are in store for the lucky winner of THIS KitNipBox!

ENTRY  Mingo absolutely goes wild over catnip. I tried to put some in a toy with a velcro closure this evening, and he went crazy before I got the bag open. How does he know what's in a plastic bag? Then he was rubbing my hand trying to get to the catnip, biting my hand because he thought I had some in it, and knocking the bag out of my hand. We ended up with both of us covered in catnip and very little in the toy.

I'll start with Vincent. Originally when I brought him home he seemed to brave and bold he kept walking towards Sera as she hissed at him and backed away. But now he likes to hide under my bed anytime anyone other than me enters the apartment. Than when he's done hiding and recognizes the person he will just plop his buttdown in the hall and stare at them for a while.

ENTRY--

Spot has learned the sound of the bag I use to protect the baby blanket from cat hairs when I'm not working on it. He hears the plastic rustle, runs up, and cuddles in the middle of the blanket as I unfold it to work on the edges. I want to get mad, since I can't work on it while he's there (and I have to use the lint roller on it after every single kitty encounter), but he just looks so cute!
