I am new to this site & not good at this- not even sure how to post. Hopefully this is it.

My 14 yr. old female cat has large cell lymphoma in the stomach wall- inoperable. She also has chronic anemia. She continues to eat & acts mostly normal & happy. I don't want to give up on her.

I am about to get her on CEENU-TODAY-- less side effects- just affecting the white blood cells. But only 40 percent effective.

I am getting desparate, She has been on prednisilone for 3 weeks, Essiac tea & herbals support. But the 2nd ultrasound on Friday revealed the tumor is same size. about 3 " in the abdomin.

I am looking for a more sucessful option. And would welcome ANY relevent, helpful info.

Thanks, Jeanne & Gracie

Gosh so sorry about your cat's diagnosis.

This is a tough one, large cell is not so treatable as small cell is, I know there are some drugs that can be tried, but believe the bottom line is the quality of life while trying to treat, since treatment really only buys a short amt of time.

Very sad, I can only imagine how you feel.....

I'm so sorry you received this diagnosis. My heart goes out to you.  Would you consider joining the Yahoo group for Feline Lymphoma?  There is an Internal Medicine vet Dr. Jory who posts there. I feel pretty certain there is a protocol for treating large cell lymphoma, I cannot tell you what the success rate is, but you would likely get some other opinions.
