How long can you leave a freeze dried raw food out?

I'm at work for 8 hours a day and I don't want to leave my cat with dry kibbles, so maybe freeze dried raw food is a better option. But how long can it actually stay out without becoming bad?

At least a few hours should be ok. Maybe use a programmable timed feeder with a rotating tray and put a serving size of freeze dried raw into the compartments. Since the tray rotates, any freeze dried raw food that might have been picked at but not completely eaten will be moved out of the open feeding window at the next progammed meal time and replaced with a fresh serving of food. That would keep a cat from eating picked at freeze dried raw hours later that might have bacteria starting to grow in it from cat saliva. You can also use a feeder wtih canned food as well, or even regular dry food. I like this feeder. I know there are people who measure out freeze dried or air dried raw into a bowl and just leave that out all day for the cat to snack on and they have never had an issue with the food going bad or spoiling and causing the cat to become ill.
