Hi all, I need some help with my shopping for Sara. I need to buy soft and smelly food that I can try with her. Think along the lines of Hill's a/d. Please note - I don't care about nutritional properties at this point. If it has calories, that's what matters to me. And that it is soft (ie pate or anything similar to that) and preferably aromatic. Likely stinky for me but that's ok.

Thanks for your help in advance. My brain is kinda mush right now.

I saw your other posts, Donutte, and am very sorry to hear about Sara. I haven't used the food you mentioned so don't know the texture but here are a few, with the first two brands probably more caloric than the second two:

-Nutro Natural Choice has some nice soft pates: maybe some of the ones with seafood are even especially smelly?

-I seem to recall that Wellness Core's kitten food is a little smelly, too. Actually, all the Wellness Core foods seem smelly to me.

-When our previous cat was very sick, she ate quite a bit (for her) of Merrick's Cowboy Cookout, Turducken, and Thanksgiving Day after I'd put them through the mini-processor with a little extra water.

-She also ate a fair bit of Weruva's Lamb burger ini, which is lamb and tuna pate-like food.

I hope you're able to find some foods she'll eat. Fingers crossed--I am very, very sorry you're having to deal with this again.

Thank you. Definitely looking for stuff I can find in a store. I think with Lucky I wasted a lot of time waiting for things to arrive by mail. I think most of what you mentioned I can find at Petsmart of Petco. I might be able to find the Weruva at the local pet store possibly. Never shopped there for food before.

Your mention of stores reminded me that Brooksie ate Trader Joe's food, too. Good luck!

Bought a few of the ones mentioned. And lots of kitten foods. Found bonito flakes at Petco. And baby food at Jewel. Now if I could just find my cat.

Kitten foods are good! And baby food, too. Here's hoping something appeals to her!
