Hello.

Do you wear perfume or aftershave? How about scented shower gels or body lotions? What are some of your favourite scents?

I used to love the Body Shop White Musk range. I had the perfume, the shower gel and the body lotion. It got too expensive for me to keep buying it though. These days I use a natural lavender oil soap and body lotion made by a local herb company. I think the cats prefer it!

I use scented everything. I'm the one in blocking the aisle at the store sniffing every product.

Current List

I love Doves Nutrium Citrus body wash

Herbal Essences Hydralicious Shampoo

Herbal Essences Love my Color Conditioner

I have Malibu Sunset foaming hand soap from Bath and Body Works

I use Clean And Clear Morning Burst facial cleanser

I Love smells. It's the same way when I buy cleaning products--they have to smell nice or I won't buy them

I like scented detergents and body wash/hair products, but I can't wear any kind of body spray or perfume. After about 10 minutes I can't stand myself anymore and have to go wash it off :lol3:. Even if I like the scent, I can't handle smelling it constantly.

Yes. I love Willow and Water from Field and Flowers. I have several of their creams and body lotions.

I can't afford to buy them anymore, but I used to wear:

Chanel No. 22 (Lily of the Valley scent)

Charlie

Tresor

White Shoulders

I use scented soaps either bar or body wash.  Right now I am using Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry, I have the shower gel, lotion, and spray.  I also like a hand made bar soap that a guy in New Mexico makes.  He has different scents that I think of as being from the desert southwest of the U.S.

I don't  use cologne much anymore.  I  used to when I was physically going to work every day.  I  have  a couple of the little test tubes that I got when I stocked up on Estee Lauder face care products.  I occasionally use that.  Those little test vials will probably last me several months.  I used White Linen when I was regularly wearing perfume.

YES! I love scented products, and like have lots of different ones to suit my mood (way too many to list in detail  ). I'll never be a signature scent kind of girl :lol3: At last count, I had 13 different perfumes on the go - none are big brands. Six of them are made by @ShadowsRescue :heart3: , and are in all kinds of scents. I have 2 different body lotions from her too, and 5 (so far) of her soaps. I also like the original Sanctuary Spa range, and several from a little UK company called Bath House. I also have a great pumpkin chai body oil that I got for Christmas :D

I like to have lavender for its calming properties, but the ONLY lavender I like is ShadowsRescue's! In terms of other scents, I like spicy and sensual - I'm not big on anything too sweet or floral (though I do love vanilla, and lots of my favourites have vanilla somewhere in the mix).

I have expensive tastes, so always ask for these things at birthday and Christmas - no way could I afford it otherwise. I look out for sales (like 30-40% off or more) and stock up then too.

Love perfume, love other scented things too.

I love Bath and Body Works Lavender "Sleep" line. The linen spray is heavenly.  I also like the moisturizers in that scent too - I think chamomile is added with the lavender.

I wear perfume a lot. My current go-to's are: Flower Bombe, J'Adore. Fantasy and Fracas (which I've been wearing for decades).

I really like Downy's "Unstoppables" - which are scented beads that get put in the wash. Love the "Fresh" scent in the blue container (I think they have 3 or 4 varieties).

I love perfume!

Currently have Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, Chanel Allure, Nina Ricci and Miss Dior by Dior.

And won't be stopping there

Planning to pick up a Givenchy, Davidoff Woman, Lacoste Sensuelle etc in the future.

For the body I use a Nuxe Oil, and for the hands RoC and Lancôme La Vie Est b Belle. Body wash at the moment is Dial, a spring fresh kind of fragrance - as titled, sometimes nice and fresh for the upcoming spring! Was in the mood.

Favourite type of scents altogether is floral or fruity, leaning towards pretty and elegant.

...with the cats...
the closest i come to scented would be the dial bar soap and the suave shampoo i use when showering. i don't use any lotions.

i do use tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils mixed with a carrier oil (fractionated coconut) as a natural disinfectant, and i like the smell of those. and i use lavender essential oil on cotton balls, placed inside a knee high pantyhose and stored in my clothing and linens closets, to help deter moths. i love the smell of lavender.

Don't do perfume. I like scented soaps/bath gels, and to an extent, lotion. I like citrus-scented, cucumber, etc. LOVE eucalyptus scented stuff, but haven't used it for years.

When I was younger I always used perfume. I am not a citrus, flowery or greenery type. Those seem to really bother my allergies.

I am an oriental type of fragrance person. Vanilla gives me a headache. Tresor is creates an immediate headache and asthma attack!

I did find a perfume, at of all places ~~ QVC!!! I looked up the reviews before I bought it. It was Tova. I fell in love with it! It was the only perfume that I could wear constantly and not have it bother my allergies, or asthma. It was such a nice clean scent. Hard to describe, but man, did I get compliments on it~~~ always! Never failed to get a compliment.

I wore it for years!

Unfortunately for me, when the ban on many items which made of lots of perfumes base notes, went into existence, Tova changed... The line was also sold to QVC. Now they are using a lot of substitution for the banned items.

Recently I bought a new bottle of it.. It is horrid!! Smells like Bug Spray!!  I want my old Tova back....But it this is much better for the animals..like pure musk oil, etc....

The original Tova was created by the actor, Ernest Borgnine's (McHales Navy), wife. She did wonders with the fragrance....

Now I am just a dove soap and Redken Shampoo, and Cetaphil lotion, person.  I occasionally wear Amazing Grace, which is somewhat similar to the Tova, but not quite....

I love and wear Amazing Grace!  I love to smell myself all day!
It is so light and fresh.  However, I mix  the body lotion and Eau de Toillette, then apply and it lasts all day and becomes softer and softer!  I get so many compliments.

I also love India Hicks Island Living, which I think has been re-named Caribean Wildflowers, by Crabtree and Evelyn.

For many years I used to wear White Linen, which I love, and Clinique, Happy (I think that was the name.

I also love the scent of peonies, which reminds me of the tea roses that grow by the ocean!

Any good vanilla scent.  Although it is getting harder and harder to find, unless in a blend, and I don't like the blends.  So mostly now, no.

Years ago I was addicted to Este Laudre Cinnabar.  It had a deep, rich, musky cinnamon smell.  I had the cologne, the perfume. the powder, and every other product they made at the time.  Good stuff.

I guess I like to smell like baking.

Yes! That's my favorite one too. I only use it when washing blankets or coats (things that don't get washed often), but the blue Downy is my favorite. For detergent I like purple (Moonlight Breeze) Gain or Spring Meadow Tide. Butt he matching scent beads don't smell as good :/.

I used to love wearing perfume. But the older I get the worse my allergies are. I like subtle scents. I like the vanilla's and liked the Night Magic from Avon. My sister in law got me a gift set of vanilla body wash and lotion for Christmas.

I wish I liked perfumes. I know whenever I go to hug one of my friends or family lady's they always have some nice light scent. Unfortunately due to allergens and asthma I just don't wear any.

I like light scents lady stetson was one of the only ones I could stand. I don't mind a smell But I couldn't stand smelling myself all day long. Between the asthma cat and myself we try to limit smelly chemicals like perfumes and laundry detergent. Otherwise she wheezes a lot more when I wear perfumes or hairspray type things...not sure what the name brand smells like as I hated the perfume counter in the malls...instant headache. I wish I could have tried that Tova that's mentioned up above. I like clean linen or light spring flower type scents or woodsy types.

When I was younger, I wore Jovan's Musk. Yeah, it was cheap, but I loved that stuff. I realized it was my signature scent when a guy told me one time that he was in our local CVS and smelled Musk. He said he looked all over the place for me because he knew, he just knew I had to be in that store.
I'd be at work and several guys told me how much they like that scent. One man even told me "You know, it doesn't smell like that on my wife!".
That's because it was mine, all mine. That was years ago when I worked in the paper plant.

I stopped wearing it and tried to find something else, but there wasn't anything I really liked. And what I did like, Rick did not. I won't wear a scent that he doesn't like, so I stopped wearing anything. Then (and I posted about this) around Christmas, my brother and SIL were with us. When they got ready to leave, she gave me a hug. I liked her scent and asked her to have Rick smell her.
He liked it, too, and I started wearing it. It's Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden. There is also a Green Tea Nectarine one that I want to sample.

For showering, I'm a Dial girl and I guess that's just because I sweat during exercise. I really like the Dial Coconut Water Soap. Also back during my paper plant days, we would sweat like linebackers up in the dryer cans. We worked two to a line and one night, we were up sanding the dryer cans. It was simply horrible up there and we were sweating and filthy. I looked over at my co-worker and said, "Aren't you glad we use Dial? Don't we wish everybody did?" And he started laughing at me. Anyway, I grew up with Dial and, while I've switched to different soaps, I always come back to Dial. Rick likes it, too.

Years ago, I was an Herbal Essence girl, too. We were at a concert one time and a guy, higher than a kite, grabbed me and stuck his face into my hair. "Oh god, Herbal Essence! I love Herbal Essence!" Rick and the guy's GF finally got him off me.

Antiperspirant is always unscented and my normal body lotions are unscented, although I do have a Vanilla Body Butter that I think is heaven. It doesn't combine well with my perfume, though, so I don't use it if I'm going to give myself a spritz or two of Green Tea.

As for candles, I pretty much stopped burning them. I used to burn candles all the time, but with the kitty clan we have now, well, I don't trust these kids at all. Tabby likes to make these mad jumps to the table and the tablecloth usually ends up on the floor. And she has a thing about candle flames. Not going there. And it's a shame because I really enjoyed candles.

For regular days, just light scentless anti-perspirant powder, dial soap and shampoo. For "special" days, I use a Gold Musk fragrance, which smells like dial soap. :lol3: It can get heavy, so I just spritz the air and walk through it. Enough to last a couple of hours.
