Hi everyone, I was thinking we should start a visual catalog of canned foods so that it's easier for members to try new brands/flavors and for people to switch to wet food as it takes the mystery out of those cans!

I myself am trying new brands and I have no idea what's in the cans besides the ingredients. Waffles, for example, has a really hard time eating certain textures of pate and I have no idea until I buy them.

I'll start:

This is Nature's Instinct Beef Formula. It's a brownish pate, but it is super sticky/gummy so I mix it with water so my cat has an easier time eating it. Otherwise the lumps stay together and he just licks it around the bowl.

First 5 ingredients: beef, beef liver, beef broth, tricalcium phosphate, ground flaxseed

Here's a photo album of various canned food: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ninga/sets/72157630596066364

I suggested creating an album here on TCS or online photo album for brands of foods that aren't listed in the Flickr album: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/314931/looking-for-wet-food-with-chunks-or-large-shreds#post_3949995 I'm not sure how often, if ever, the Flick album is updated.

Sometimes if you do a Google Image search you'll find a picture of what the food looks like in the can, usually a picture someone took at home before feeding the cat.

I would like to post a picture of First Mate chicken pate because it's a solid lump sitting in a ton of watery gravy. Quite off-putting, but good price. However my cats didn't care for it much so I won't be buying it again any time soon.
