She escaped in January and will get her fixed as soon as possible after the birth. My dilemma is that she's quite big, yet she still eats a lot, uses the litter frequently and sleeps like a log. Though at times she goes crazy as I'm not letting her in the garden as she should be due very soon. The babies could be felt by more than a week, but she doesn't seem to give any signs of labour. Her temperature was yesterday 99 and today is 100.2, does that mean she's about to give birth? She doesn't seem to have any discharge, neither she ould let me lift up her tail, yet she is very calm and affectionate. This morning he was breathing fast but now she's breathing normally. Please are there any more signs for labour? Sorry I'm a very worried mum for my furry baby.

Take a deep breath and step away from the cat.

Taking her temp every day is not always a good indicator.  If you must take her temp use her armpit and add 3 degrees F

Cats usually give birth 2 -3  weeks after you see the kittens moving so you have some time to go.

the next thing to watch for is the mucus plug and water leaking.  She will be uncomfortable and will probably empty her bowels the day before.
