Acne, Ringworm or something else?

Hi! I am new here so I hope this is OK :) I noticed an angry red patch on my 10-month-old cat's chin today. It doesn't seem to itch or be bugging her but it doesn't look good. I'm hoping it's just cat acne (I think there are some blackheads) but I'm unsure.

I'm a little paranoid it's ringworm though...When I got her from the shelter at 4-months-old, I was told she and her sister had ringworm. I never saw any evidence of it, but was told to treat it with meds and baths and did so. It was an intense process. The shelter doc cleared them of it in September. Again, never actually saw spots on either (may have had them before I even adopted them). I'm just hoping this isn't a flare-up. Her sister seems fine.

Before I take her to the vet and put her through that ordeal, I was hoping for the input of some experienced cat owners :) Ring worm or acne? Advice please?

That sort of looks like an allergic reaction to plastic like water bowls or eating bowls.  My kitties get acne and they are slightly lower than that.  To me it doesn't look like ringworm but I am not a vet.  If you are using plastic feeding and drinking dishes, change them to stainless steel to see if that helps.  Then make the appointment for a few days from now...  if there is no change keep the appointment if it is subsiding you can cancel :)
