Oh my, what gorgeous pics of Simon! Thank you again so much for sharing him with us. This is truly one of the most beautiful threads I've been following. It's sad sometimes, but there is so much GOOD in here, and such an inspiration.
When I was first thinking of starting a thread regarding the long journey ahead, I turned to @Margd  and @mrsgreenjeens  to get some feed back as to whether or not this would be a good idea. I wasn't sure if people would be interested, not sure if it was appropriate for the health thread, or at all for that matter.  And with their input and encouragement, I started telling "Simon's Tale"  Or should say "Simon's Tail". LOL  That was March 15th. and here we are 2 months later.  I would have never imagined it.

@Donutte   You thank me for sharing Simon with you, but the truth is, I need to thank you and the members for allowing me to share my sweet boy with all of you.

I came to The Cat Site looking up info for my sometimes  "sweet" baby Chestnut, thinking I would get some advice, she'd finish her med's, get over her urinary issues and I'd be on my way.

It never occurred to me that 4 months later I'd be part of a community that has been so very kind, supportive and accepting.  I've made friendly connections with people in parts of this world, I never thought possible.  To think Simon is getting positive vibes from across the globe, really blows my mind

@Margret  I don't know if  Reiki works or not, but Simon has been eating like a cow since you said you started.  Coincidence maybe, who knows. All I know is I appreciate your efforts.  For what ever the reason, the universe has been on our side...  for now anyway.

For the sake of not leaving anyone out, the following is for All Members who have posted on this thread, gave my boy purraise and sent personal messages.

I am so very thankful for the overwhelming support you have all given Simon and myself.

I seriously can't find the words to express how much your support and kindness has meant through this journey.

To accept us as you have, and share with me your experiences and knowledge proved to be invaluable, giving me the tools to make decisions for Simon that make his daily life pleasant and playful.

You all have a hand in keeping my boy alive... and for that I will be forever grateful.

A special thanks to @Anne  for giving me/us this platform to discuss our furry wee ones.  You have created a very special community making our lives better, one hairball at a time. lol

Could it be that Chestnut can smell Simon's illness and that is why she's bopping him. I had that many years ago when one of my cats was dying and she was wrapped in a blanket in my arms and her supposed sister /friend came over and hissed and tried to hit her.

Hi @Stewball

I thought that too, especially since Simon has been extra wet from trying to drink from the faucet, he is a bit smelly.  But she gets an attitude when I open his cans of food.  She could be sleeping and wakes out of a sound sleep when I flip the lid.  Meanwhile, we have planes flying low, trains, cars etc she doesn't budge.  LOL  For a while they would just pass each other without any emotions.  My hubby says its to get back Simon for being a meany to her.  Not sure but I don't like it. LOL  I also don't have a choice at the moment.

Thanks...

It was just a thought.

Hi everyone,

Simon is good and I can't wait to share the stories and events for the past 2 weeks.  I figured out some new tricks. And he learned some new games as well, which gave him confidence.  So cute.

We did hit a snag today, but I just gave him his buprenex and he's finally sleeping soundly.

My laptop is being rebuilt and I personally find it frustrating to type on my tablet with 2 fingers. Lol

Plus, this tablet isn't cooperating with my hot flashes, lol I put my fingers near screen and the screen goes berserk, then when the chills set in, my fingers are so cold nothing opens.

Hubby said my computer will be running by days end tomorrow.   Thanks for thinking of us.

More updates, hopefully tomorrow.

We are as good as can be, I can't lie, Simon hit a bump and this I fear is the last bump.  He's drinking up a storm.  But food has now become an issue.  I get what the vet said back in February, this tumor is aggressive, and I have to say, within what seemed like hours, the tumor grew right before us.  I'll collect my thoughts on this and write about it in the update.

I finally got my laptop back and will update Simon's journey shortly.

This bump does not in any way, diminish the terrific past 2 weeks.

Thanks again to everyone for your concern and support.
