My cat stinks up the entire house, and I am NOT exaggerating.  It is embarrassing when it is poo time and people are over.  I have tried different litters like Clump and Seal that seem to make it better  but is there a food I can feed him to stop his stinky world domination?

Has your cat been wormed? What are you feeding him now? Does he cover when he uses the box? Are you using a covered box?

What your cats eats can cause stinky poop. Generally, poor quality food with fillers and indigestible stuff will cause horribly stinky poop. On the other end of the poop smell, cats who eat raw food have poop with practically no odor (one of my cats being one exception
). Since not everyone can or wants to feed raw, a good quality commercial cat food with few fillers and "junk" works for most.

Worms and internal parasites can also cause stinky poop. The vet can determine if your cat has internal parasites. A poop sample is usually needed for the vet to test.

If the cat does not have worms as mentioned above, it is likely what they are eating. The more efficiently a cat's body uses the food it takes in, the less waste there is and the less odor. The odor comes from the ingredients in the food that a cat's body can't use and eliminates. Fillers and such.

I've mentioned this before but Lily and Sophie were on Science Diet dry at the shelter and Henry was on various forms of Purina dry. What they left in the litter box could make a skunk recoil in horror. It was AWFUL. I switched them to canned ASAP and the smell vanished. They did not have worms. I also give them a daily probiotic which helps digestion.

Diet is what I'm thinking also.  Noodles cannot tolerate fish or beef.  Beef doesn't even make it to the other end; but if she gets fish (if she gets into Mooch's bowl) you will know it.  Sometimes it's soft; sometimes it looks pretty normal. But it's always extra stinky and she never buries.
I am on a budget; but I try to feed her primarily grain free canned food.

I agree with the other posters about food! Our cats eat a combination of raw and canned foods (all grain-free and with no carby vegetables like potatoes or peas) and their box hardly has any smell. A good diet reduces the volume of poop, too, another nice plus.

I had a similar experience after switching to canned food.

A few canned brands I have tried that emit little odor in the litter box:

Natures Variety Instinct
Hound & Gatos
Soulistic (Petco)
Tikicat

I'm still in the process of evaluating more brands, good luck.
