I've been intrigued by this and wondering about it, as far as cost effectiveness and how palatable it is.

I haven't, but It's loaded with veggies so I never considered it based on that fact alone. I don't think its worth the price.

The Honest Kitchen also makes Grace which is turkey based, https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/cat-food/grace I believe you can get a sample packet of both Grace and Prowl from the Honest Kitchen web site.

I briefly fed the Prowl to my Aby as a kitten as the breeder recommended. My Aby didn't really care for it. The food is heavy on veggies and pretty high carb.

I've also avoided it because of the high carbs, plus it contains potato: their Web site has PDFs that gives the dry matter carbs for both foods. If I remember correctly, one's in the 15% range, the other's closer to 20%.

I've tried their products also.  Both cats did like it but I also wasn't thrilled with the overall ingredients.

The turkey formula is the only food all three of my cats have ever flat out REJECTED. The chicken, on the other hand, everyone liked. Mosey liked it so much he was jumping on the counter trying to eat the dry powder. It's pretty carb-y, though, so it's not something I regularly buy.

I bought Grace and Prowl. At first my 2 cats went crazy for it while I tried to scoop it out of the bag, until I mixed in the recommended amount of water. It was quite soupy. I learned to reduce the amount of water to make it more like a pate style. Or course, if they'd just wait until it fully rehydrated, I'm sure it'd be fine.

I  also learned to not feed it as a full meal, as they never seem to be interested in finishing it. I feed it instead as an "in-between meal" since I realized I need to feed them 5 3-oz cans of food a day instead of 4, and they seem to enjoy it like that just fine. Kind of like an afternoon snack. I replace the 1 can with this...for now. At least until it's gone, because I wouldn't buy it again. Mainly because they don't eat it reliably, and also it's a little out of my budget at the moment.

Even though it does have veggies and other random stuff in it besides meat, I still think it's better than feeding them dry food. It's made with human-grade ingredients, and I feel perfectly fine feeding it to them despite the extra unnecessary ingredients. I wish they'd make it with just meat!

Also, they seem to like Prowl better than Grace.

So, there's my opinion! Hope it's helpful.

I tried it once with the crew. They uniformly hated it. They physically re-coiled from their dishes. They didn't see it as food.
