I'm fostering my first pregnant cat, so I'm new to this!

We only feed canned food in our household and I'm not sure how many what the rule of thumb is for how often to feed mama cat and how many ounces at a time. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Pregnant and nursing mamas can eat as much as they want, and it can be a lot!

You may want to add dry kitten kibble to her diet, and leave it down 24/7 so she can munch here and there. It's high calorie and nutrients for pregnant moms.

What's the best way to do that so that my cats aren't able to eat her food? Crate or separate room?

Oh, you have other cats who might eat her food. That's a problem at my house too - always. Maybe you could put her in a separate room here and there and let her crunch away for a bit. I really have no other ideas. I'm not a fan of crating.
