) and chit chatting about stuff. Both of us actually weren't even feeling very well. One thing led to another and he got up and went to get the box. Came back, and yes, got on his knees in the bed (not easy!) and slipped the ring onto my finger very official like.

I knew. He's actually been proposing on and off without a ring for years lol. I think we both knew the day we met it was an important and long lasting relationship. He wasn't in the position to give me a ring until recently so right away he started talking about looking. Unfortunately, he had very little time to do it on his own as he's a full time student (at 57 years old!). So, he put me in charge. But, once it was purchased (2 weeks ago) he picked it up and said he wanted to wait for the perfect moment to ask. Then he posted it all over social media before even asking me!
Last night, felt right to him I guess. Plus some of his very good friends said he was ridiculous for posting photos of the ring and making me wait on it. We were just hanging out watching tv in bed (no funny business
It was very sweet and low key which is how we are. I really would have been unhappy having a big fuss made over it.
