@Angels mommy ..I did not realize that the backing in the frame was sand. (I thought it was some type of cork board.) Now I'm even more impressed that I cannot see any hot glue globs anywhere.

(I am Not crafty at all, but I like seeing and reading about possible 'tips' because now I may try to spray paint some old wooden frames and furniture, when it's warmer and the snow is gone. Great use of cardboard to catch the over-spray.)

(I think you may need to create a "Crafts Corner and Tips thread" in the Lounge...
. That 'hand in baggy' idea is brilliant. And I would think glass was too heavy, too, yet some sort of 'shellac, or clear coat spray paint was needed to keep dust off'.
  I did see a frame   made of 'sea shells/stones', once, but couldn't figure out how they made it...now I'm beginning to understand.)

 I wouldn't know what to do with a cat jumping up on counters & tables, etc...  I'd be like, "Umm, no, no, we don't do that here."
  Yes, Basically that is it....Except, you have to do it over and over again, until they get the message, and decide that this type of 'game' is not worth playing. Easier done, when they are small..and like to co-operate.

@cat nap  , Thank you!  Yes, the backing is sand, which I also bought at Hobby Lobby. Instead of a shilack, (I didn't want to buy a whole can for just that one project), So I just sprayed it w/  some hairspray. I've heard of people doing that instead, so that's what I did.  I have gotten a lot of inspirations from Pinterest. I finally joined a few months ago, & OH MAN! So much stuff! So many Ideas!!   I have a furniture ideas board I created w/ all the good ideas & tips on things like spray painting furniture. There is a lot of that on there. One thing I have seen & really like in that area, is some of the old dark heavy wood beds with all the carvings & scrolls in it that we may look at now, & say, no way, looks like my parents or grandparents furniture, too heavy & dark! Well, people are spray painting them either white (shabby chic look) or silver metalic, which gives it that glam look, & is actually beautiful!  You should check it out!

@Kittens Mom, Thank you, that's a big part of why I choose that one, for what it says. I bet kittens looks sweet w/ her actual paw prints.

@Stewball, My dress is a nude shell with a cream lace overlay & half sleeves. I will have to post a picture.

Okay, heres my Easter dress. I also bought a neaklace & earings to go with it. I found the shoes at Marshalls (Nine West, for only 34.00!)  Anyway, I figured I haven't bought myself a dress, much less an Easter dress (or shoes)  in years, (last night I was thinking about it, & I think it was over 5 yrs ago!!) SO, I decided to treat myself!  Don't worry, I paid cash!

@Angels mommy...thank you, I will have to check out Pinterest, then. I just was not sure about having to join, and will check out the privacy policy/terms first. I rather just browse. When I visit various websites, I just save them in my bookmarks folder and read them later...

but Pinterest sounds like everyone has access to 'your own whiteboard' so does that mean that everyone sees what you are interested in? Like they are reading over your shoulder, on a train.? But then I guess no one really knows who you are, by your user name, unless you tell them? Is it a Site that just stores all the stuff that you view, and does it send you much email constantly? (Actually, I should just do a search online about these questions...sorry Kelly...these are way too many questions.

)

   Hey, I did browse a 'Habitat for Humanity' store, yesterday, and saw the exact type of furniture you are talking about with the fancy wood scrollwork, from the 70s. Very dark heavy wood, solid wood...and I thought about your frame, and how it would look painting it white.
  But it's still a little bit expensive...so I will wait until they reduce the price, or I find another piece. Hmmm...silver metallic?  Now I do have to google that one.

Hairspray for shellac !!! That is Brilliant.

@cat nap,

Thanks! That sounds like a good plan on the furniture you saw.     As for Pinterest, I'm not sure about all of that. I know I just joined, so I could create boards (like files) to pin all the great stuff & Ideas I was seeing. I have notices most people on there just use their real names, so that's just what I did, because it was my email. I don't even remember if it gave a place to put a user name. I should look at that again. I love it though. I have so many boards now, recipes, skinny recipes, drinks, furniture ideas, home decor, photography, trees, ideas for pets, animals/mostly kitties, "Beautiful men" (you'll see "my type" there
), & many more!

If you PM me. I will tell you how you can find me, to see my boards on there.

 (AND, I am finally going to be able to start paying extra on the care credit, like I wanted to get it down! I plan on paying 20.00 extra this month, so that;s a good start!)
@angelsmommy   Very pretty dress. Is it likely to be warm enough that you will be able to wear it without a coat?  Great news on the Care Credit, btw. Yes, a good start.

It's purty. But I can't quite remember what a dress is for ???

A dress??? Is that something fancy like when you bedazzle your sweatpants?

   Paying off care credit AND getting to buy not only a dress but pretty much a complete outfit.
    Good for you Kelly, you deserve some good times and being able to pay off some credit and treat yourself a bit is a great way to start.  I love your outfit, it looks perfect for spring, and those shoes are simply gorgeous!
   I hope you have some kind of outing planned to show off that outfit and feel fabulous.

Wow...I saw the words 'Beautiful men, and ideas for pets/cats/animals'....and thought...."Whooah...forget about crafts now and furniture, recipes and such".
..I might have to disappear for a while into this pinterest place. My interests are suddenly getting "pinned"....but that does not sound so good.
(I need to start a new thread about 'time management tips' or else I'm never going to be offline, or get anything practical done.)

PM will be sent super fast. now.

I came across this website last year, from a link from "TCS Facebook" page (I'm not on facebook, but like to browse sometimes.)...but I cannot find the actual TCS page now,..where I read about it.

check it out...I think you might like it....http://twentytwowords.com/male-models-and-cute-kittens-doing-the-same-pose-12-pictures/    ...male models and cute kittens.

I had to look up what "bedazzling" was.  It's so cool looking. And there is a 'Pin" for that.

Gosh, there seems to be a 'pin' for everything.

I noticed in this above photo, that Angels' cat bed and your armchair are both 'paisley patterns'....So it got me thinking....Hmm, didn't @MServant post somewhere that her place is designed around Mouse.

And then I see this above photo...and think...hmmm...@Angels mommy   too.  what is going on?  You both live on opposites sides of the Atlantic, so could not be separated at birth...maybe aliens do exist and just randomly throw 'people' down on earth, in each country.  There are a little too many 'similarities' and tastes.. to be just a coincidence.
  I think it's an alien conspiracy. (I have to stop watching x-files.)

@kittensmom  @Kat0121.

You guys are silly! ..Love it!!

@rubysmama, Yes, it should be warm enough. I'm in NC, & this week we've had warm weather. Mid 70's this week & weekend, & mid 50's at night. We could get another cold snap before spring, But I am hoping it is warm for Easter Sunday. Even if it's a little chilly, it won't be cold. I tried looking it up on a farmer's Almanac link, but best I could find was a prediction for 69, so that will be nice. Hopefully not too chilly in the morning though.

@MServant, Thanks, but just starting today, to try & get it paid down, by starting to pay a little extra on payments. It is FAR from being paid off.  On the bill wear it says minimum payment will take this long, & paying this much will take this long, It said 3 yrs for what I paid, vs/ 11 yrs!!  So we'll see, I'd like to do it sooner, but it all depends on how much I can afford to pay extra ea. mo.

Anyway, as far as the dress, Thank you, I am just going to my sister's church on Easter Sunday. I know some other people that go there too, so will be nice to see everyone. A lot of the same people my sister & BIL work w/ go there, as well as his sister & her family.

I hadn't bought a new Easter dress in years, so it was definitely time!!  I rarely go shopping anymore, so it was nice to do that & find something.

 @cat nap, Girrrrrl, You are cracking me up once again!!!  I love all the silliness we have going on here today.
  As for that link, I've seen that one before, it's funny!

Yea, last night I looked & I have 52 boards on Pinterest!!  Some more I forgot to mention,  Hair, dance, ('cause I used to do both of those, not at the same time though
 )  sculptures, big cats, horses, & more!

As for the paisley, I've just always liked it, & the furniture store where I got my furniture had the chair with the couch I got in a display. I liked it, so got them. Loved the paisley & the colors. They were a set, because one set of pillows on the couch match the chair. Wow, this spring (next month??) will be 2 yrs I've had it now.  As for that bed, when I saw it in the store, I had to get it for him, it was so pretty. Umm, yea, he was just a little spoiled!  He had 3! The one that was in his big carrier that was in the living room had his old now, too little bed in it, but it fit in there perfectly, so there it went. Then, the big green one was from walmart, & liked that one, because I could throw it in the wash. It mostly strayed in the bedroom though, so of course when I saw the paisley one, it became his living room bed.
 So he had two in the living room. The carrier & the paisly bed.

Of course I just wanted my baby to be cozy & comfy wherever he decided to sleep.
