Is she breathing really heavily? Is she bleeding a lot? Is she visibly in pain or having trouble? If not then I wouldn't worry too much.

Cats can mate multiple times during multiple days while the mother is in heat. It is not uncommon that some kittens will have different fathers and could have been conceived on different days, therefore, they may be born a few days apart.

I wouldn't worry too much as long as you don't think she is in a lot of pain or having complications.

If she starts to hemorrhage or you think she could be having complications, seek emergency veterinary help immediately.

As long as she's not in distress, you shouldn't worry. Do you think she has more? They can be born on different days!

Well when I saw the vet, she said she felt 4 at least and kitty has only delivered two. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and she's not distressed. She's still purring but with her eyes closed. I'm not sure what to do, it's gone midnight and I'm shattered but I don't wanna leave her and go to sleep in case anything happens. I'd like to think she would wake me up if anything went wrong but I can't be certain.

She sounds fine, and will probably deliver through the night. Can you make a pallet on the floor nearby and stay with her tonight?

It's probably when she has contractions. They purr to soothe themselves. She's also trying to rest some.

Nope not at all, she had her last kitten @ 21:25 last night and she's still not had any more. She's seems happy and content but not sure what to do. The vet was adamant that there were four kittens in her bug maybe there were only two. What do you think? Should I bake her to the vets or just wait?

I would wait but i wouldn't wait too long. My momcat had a resting period of 24 hours and she gave birth to a dead kitten last night so if it doesn't happen soon I would call the vet and ask them what could be going on and if you need to go for a visit

Usually the advice in such situation is to observe but wait. That is so long mom is entirely OK.   A too hasty intervention is more dangerous than waiting too long - its vice versa with humans.

But yeah, there are dangers, now and then the waiting may be too long...

If your vet is an experienced obstetrician, the best is of course to phone and ask.

With a decently skilled surgeon but not so experienced obstetrician, this becomes touchy - he may be eager to do a cesarean because he can - BUT perhaps too early...

Nay, its not easy, even if statistically its best to wait, as long momma is OK  without any visible problems.

I would wait, especially if she's not in distress. Kittens can be born days apart and be just fine. If she begins pushing with no success then you might need the vet. You can call to touch base today, but an unnecessary C-section is expensive and can be dangerous. These last 2 kittens may not be quite ready.
