help with pic pleez

How do I add a pic of my kitty to my signature? I'm a bit of a computer nitwit (my first computer)and have a newish imac with OSX version 10.1.3 and iphoto. Not sure about how to get the size right etc. help!
Hope this is the right forum - you all seem such experts and such good photographers! I'd like to add my one and only (so far) really good photo of my baby to my signature.
