I was sitting here at my desk getting ready to go online. All of a sudden, I heard something moving inside the cabinet of my desk (right next to my feet). I slowly looked around and saw that Stinkie was still sleeping on the bed - it wasn't him. I knew all the other cats had gone back outside, except Thumper, who had been sleeping in another bed in another room. Besides, the cabinet was closed. So I quickly ran away from the desk. Then, I thought to myself "Well, I have to open it to see what it is. But, no, what if it runs up under the bed or something. What if it's some strange creature." Obviously, I didn't open it. I was too scared that something might run out at me. I didn't really know what to think. So what did I do? I yelled for somebody else to come in here and get it out for me
. I just went yelling "Come here! There's something alive in the cabinet! Get it out!" I stayed far back, on top of the bed, while the cabinet was opened. - I've got you in suspense now, don't I? - I bent down (from a far distance) and saw Thumper laying in there balled up in a ball looking at me upside down
. She had gotten in there through the hole in the back of the cabinet without me seeing her. I just fell back on the bed and said "Ohhh. Thank God." Then, of course, I started laughing. I wasn't expecting it to be a cat. I thought they were all accounted for. I was thinking more along the lines of "BIG rat". Anyway, that's my silly scare for the week.

LOL!

In the house I grew up in my room was in the basement and under the stairs I had this little storage area that I had nothing in, but it was always locked.

I had a creepy dream about it one night and had to know if anything was in it since it was last opened.

I managed to talk a friend into opening it and he screamed just when he opened the door causing me to fall off the bed. I was like "What is it!!??!!" and he was like "Nothing"

I think I know how you felt when you found out it was a cat in the cabinet.

A few years ago, I was alone in my apartment, sitting at my old computer (It was an Amiga!) Suddenly someone tapped me on the shoulder. I nearly jumped out of my skin, when I turned, it was my cat, Tara. It really felt like a human hand, and I was freaked out because my s/o was at work.

LOL! Kahu does that to me all the time - it still freaks me out, especially when I am home alone. But when Jake is home, I think it is him and turn around only to see Kahu there. Its really a funny feeling isnt it?
