My cat Psycho pees 3x in a 24 hr period and it usually totals 10-12 Oz. He eats wet and dry food and also has a water fountain that he drinks from daily. Does this seem like a lot of pee? He is 8 and his Bun/Cre levels are normal - 20/1.6. Let me know what you think.

You're very welcome.
I think we all worry about our kitties.  If only they could speak!

I worry about my babies too. I'm constantly looking to see how big the pee patties are, and how much water they drink, etc. I've never measured the oz (how do you do that?) however. I worry a bit with Pea-Pea who I think sometimes has big pee patties, but then other times, she doesn't.

I also read somewhere that the litter itself can actually increase the size so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.
As for weighing I bought a digital scale so I bag it then weigh it. I been keeping track for a year since he had his UTI.

Some types of litter expand a little when wet.

Once you know what is normal for your cat, you can easily notice any difference in pee clump size (too small, too large). This is one reason why manual scooping of litter boxes is recommended. Some health issues can be noticed just by the size of the pee clump or lack of any pee clumps. I get why some people use a robot litter box but if a cat has, say, a urinary infection and is just peeing little drops with blood, you're not going to notice it until the cat shows obvious signs that something is wrong and oftentimes by then the medical issue is more severe.

Sometimes a cat will have a large clump of pee than usual. It may be because more water was added to the canned food that day or the cat just drank more water out of the bowl. The body produces varying amounts of pee daily, just like in people
So don't freak out by one random larger than usual clump.

At the cat sanctuary I volunteer at, the cat's pee clumps are a little smaller than my palm and round like a ball. They're mostly on dry food with some canned. But my cat, who is on wet food only, has pee patties that are flat and bigger than my palm about 3-4 times a day. So, like others have said, every cat is different depending on what you feed them. But it's great you're checking so thoroughly, especially after a UTI. This reminds me I should pay more attention when I'm scooping :)
