Has anyone ever gone to a "paint night"?  It's a new trend in the U.S. where you go to a painting class, sometimes with wine, and everyone makes their own painting.  There's one themed paint night at several places near me called "Paint Your Pet" - it's about $40, you submit a good picture of your pet, and an artist sketches it out so you already have something to work with when you get there.  I think it's a really fun idea!  The paintings I've seen online have turned out really good, here's a Google image search::

Has anyone does this before (paint your pet or a different theme)?  If so I'd love to see your painting!

Wow that looks great!!!

I don't think I'd be able to just start from scratch. That's why I like the idea of the paint night, I would need some help!

Paint Nites are really popular around here!  My friend's mother went quite a few times and posted her finished projects on Facebook.  I should have tagged along with her (my friend moved away a few years ago) but I didn't get around to it.  I love painting but I haven't done any projects in a long time.  I'm no "artist" but I find it relaxing.

I haven't seen any advertised with themes though.  Although some did revolve around the current season or holiday.  Doing a pet one would be fun.  I have a picture of my soul-kitty that my Grandfather took probably 20 years ago that I've always wanted made into a painting.  But I'd want that in the hands of a professional!  I find it much harder to do things that require things to be symmetrical; like eyes for instance.

I am HORRIBLE at doing any kind of art, lol. So I don't do it. I think a five year old could do a better job than I could :lol3:
