Hello,

My cat fell today and she made an hard impact on her belly. I took her to vet and she has not broken anything, no internal bleeding, but she still is bleeding while she pees.

Any ideas?

Was she peeing blood when you took her to the Vet or was it after?

You should contact the Vet. If not, then she needs to be evaluated at the emergency Vet...Blood in urine, after a fall is not good...

When se fell, she acted normally for the first few minutes, then she went under the table, i tried to touch her and she ran away, bloody trail was behind her, i took her immediatly to the vet. They said that if she doesn't stop bleeding till morning that i should bring her back. I'm really worried and had to ask somebody.

Honestly, I would forget about taking her back to that particular Vet.

Any bleeding like that is abnormal and should be taken care of immediately.

unfortunaltey, I think she needs to get to an ER Vet....

((hugs))

How did the vet determine there was no internal bleeding?  Although I'm not a vet, it seems to me that if a cat is leaving a bloody trail behind her, it's a sign that she's bleeding internally. Where else is the blood coming from if not internally?  Also you mentioned that she had blood in her urine, but it sounds like she is bleeding at other times as well.  Artiemom is right - she should she a different vet as soon as possible.

Best wishes that she recovers quickly.

Today she only has a little blood in her urin, her urin is partialy bloody, no trails behind her. She is acting normally, little traumatised, nothing special.

It's still a problem, though.  She needs to see a competent vet.

A very long time ago, my mother got a late night call from my Aunt Helen, who was in the hospital after surgery.  (My mother was a physical therapist, and highly respected in the family.  Anytime anyone had a medical difficulty they'd ask her for help.)  Aunt Helen had been having trouble with the nurses all day.  She kept feeling like she needed to pee, but when the nurse would bring the bedpan nothing came out, except, one or two times, a little blood.  Finally the nurses got tired of answering her call button.  They deliberately moved it to a location that Aunt Helen couldn't reach, and also moved the telephone out of her reach.

Then, in the middle of the night, at shift change, the night nurse came in, saw that these things were out of reach, and put them back where they belonged, just doing her job, you know.  Aunt Helen immediately called my mom; fortunately, she had the number memorized.  My mother got dressed and went to the hospital as quickly as possible, where she proceeded to raise holy hell.  She insisted that Aunt Helen be seen by a doctor immediately, and he discovered that she was hemorrhaging internally.  It was all the blood collecting in her abdomen that was putting enough pressure on the bladder to make her feel like she needed to empty it, even though there was nothing actually in it, and the fact the the few times there actually was something in the bladder it was bloody should have been a dead giveaway to any competent nurse.  Aunt Helen was taken to emergency surgery so the hemorrhage could be repaired, which saved her life.  Then, the next day, when the patient representative was in his office, my mother went in to talk with him about it.  Essentially, what she told him was that he was going to make sure that every nurse on that shift on that ward was fired, for cause, and that complete details were put into their employment records, and if that didn't happen, the patient representative would find himself fired, for cause.  Sure enough, the nurses involved were fired for cause, just about immediately.  When my mother was in righteous anger mode she was a very formidable woman.

I'm glad this is improving, but I don't like the idea of relying on self healing to take care of an internal hemorrhage.  Your cat still needs a competent vet, and she should never be taken back to her current vet.

You have not added your location to your profile so I dont know where you live, but here is a link where you can do a search to find an ACCREDITED vet hospital near you, if you are in the U.S. or Canada.  If you are in another country, let us know because we are an international group and someone on here may have information for you.

This was over a day ago now.  What has happened since, please?
