It is probably some normal after birth discharge. There is usually some spotting on and off for several days following delivery. Just watch for heavy bleeding or hemorrhaging. Otherwise, she's likely fine.

Congrats on the babies! Are all 6 kittens latching and nursing well? You'll want to weigh the kittens so you know who's gaining. With 6 there is usually a runt or two. Let us know weights when you can! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Thank you she seems fine still and I haven't noticed anymore bleeding , kittens are drinking fine but there is a runt who keeps crying a little more then the others but still finds a nipple and drinks he's very feisty !!! I tried weighing them yesterday but they didn't like it at all :( it made me nervous! I'll do it again today and pop all the weights on here

Please do let us know the weights when you can. The little one may need help finding a nipple when the others are asleep. The runts get forced off.

Hey all , so I phoned the vets and explained what's going on and they said its normal and the fact she's still doing what she should sounds good . And has for weighing them OMG they are very vocal and mommy cats not very happy ! Managed to weigh potato ( the runt) who's 120 grams and I'm watching him feed just fine has I write this . I'm just going to weigh him everyday has I can see the others are just fine they seem to get bigger every time I look at them lol I don't want to upset the momma so I'll keep my eye on potato .

That's a good weight for Potato.  Keep weighing to make sure he gains.  Try to weigh the others as well.  They need to gain a minimum of 6-10 grams a day to thrive.  Put a cloth on the scale and weigh them in front of mom.

Will do handsome kitty ... I've just changed the bedding whilst momma went to the litter tray and she wasn't happy I changed the blankets and the kittens are all out of sort aswell so I've rolled the old blanket up and put it in the side of the box for its smell . Is it normal for this to happen ?

Yes, it's normal. It's still good you gave them fresh bedding. It will smell like them in no time and you can wash the dirty ones. Mom just doesn't want her nest disturbed, but it has to be changed. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Hey all , my 6 kittens are doing wonderful! They are 6 weeks old today and they are eating drinking and using the litter tray ... Today I noticed one of the kittens had a runny bloody stool , not lots of blood but was a bit mucusy .... They are all still eating drinking and are very playful any ideas anyone ?
