Hey all , I have a lynx point Siamese cat who is due any day to have her kitties she's 1 year old and a rescue , please don't judge me because she's being spayed asoon has she can be after she's had them , she's a house cat who got out early January. I've got 2 male cats who have been done so I know they are not the daddy . I've noticed the past few days she has been losing tiny amounts of discharge bit yellow/white/greenish it doesn't smell and its only small amounts , she's upto date on her vaccinations . she is happy Still eating using the litter tray and I can still see and feel the kittens moving , she doesn't go out side and she's a spoilt cat and gets lots of attention with a constant supply of fresh water and cat food , ive set her up a box with a blanket that she's not bothered about but she's not nesting . She sleeps in the living room everynight away from the boy cats and I've got a cat cam where I can keep checking on her with out disturbing her through the night I'm just a bit concerned about the discharge is it normal ? I don't want to take an unessasary expensive trip to the vets unless I have to that's why I'm posting on here for some advice ? Is there anything else I can possibly do to make her more comfortable? Thanks in advance for any replys
I'm going to upload a photo it's a bit !!!!GRAPHIC!!!!and she got a bit of a dirty bottom because she's so big and finding it difficult to clean . She won't let me do it either ! I do keep trying with out stressing her .

She is shedding her mucus plug, she will give birth very soon. Keep an eye on her and of course straight to the vets if there is any offensive odor. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your replies I feel a bit better now , I've been searching the Internet and worried my self . She's only a small cat so hopefully there's not to many kittens in there. I know it's hard to tell how a cat feels but she seems so fed up today and her belly a getting in the way bless her , Thanks again guys

Do you have some nests set up for her? Kitten supplies? Now is the time to prepare. We can point you towards some helpful articles if you'd like.

I've got a kitten box set up in the living room where she sleeps on her own a night away from her two brothers , the ones quite playful with her so I don't want him stressing her . it's quiet in there but I have young children so it's hard to confine her to one place in the days , I found her behind my sons cabin bed yesterday and it would be difficult to get to her if she does go into labour so I've started closing both of my boys bedroom doors. Even though my eldest son really wants her to have them in he's room lol . She has been all over the place this week she can't get comfy but likes to sleep on the dining room chair . She's eating well and keeps using her litter tray a lot . I really would like her to get comfy in her nesting box in the living room as its really quiet in there plus she gets it to her self on the night time she's a timid cat around visitors she was a feral and we took her in at 11 weeks old and she hadn't had no contact with people so it took along time to get Her settled and trusting to any one , she's like my shadow . But I know she'll have them where she wants

When my cat was that big she endd up with 7 kittens, be prepared! After losing two pregnant feral cats last year to birthing difficulties, please be prepared to take your little girl in if she is having difficulties, you might want to study the signs of trouble through past posts. All the luck and keep us posted!

She is going to want her kittens in a dark/dim room like a closet.  Can you put a nesting box in one of those as well.  When the kittens come she may not want the male cats anywhere near them for the first few weeks.  She will need food and water near the nest and a litter box nearby as well.  Mom cats don't want to leave the new born  kittens for long.  She will probably want you with her when she delivers.

Excellent!   Pauses are common, so as long as mom is not in any distress, nor long improductive active labor, you observe but can wait and see.  Both if you dont know if there is any left, or even if you KNOW there are more inside.
